Official Contest Rules & Terms and Conditions
1. Sponsor
This contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Bausch + Lomb Canada Inc., 520 Applewood Crescent, Vaughan, ON L4K 4B4 (the “Sponsor”). The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have access to the internet and a valid Instagram account at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Sponsor and its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) or household members of any such individuals are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.
3. Contest Period
The Contest begins on August 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be accepted. The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.
4. How to Enter
4.1 Purchase Entry Method
To enter by purchase:
- Purchase a Biotrue® ONEday contact lens kit and/or Biotrue® eye drops through a participating Eye Care Professional (ECP) during the Contest Period.
- Post a photo or video to your public Instagram account sharing your genuine experience with Biotrue® contact lenses and/or Biotrue® eye drops.
- Your Instagram post must include the following tags and handles: @BiotrueCA, @EveryContactCounts, #BiotrueStartSmart, and #BauschLombCA.
- Complete and submit the official entry form at the Contest website, including: your full name, email address, province of residence, Instagram handle, a direct link to your Instagram post, the Biotrue product(s) you experienced, and an upload of your video or photo content.
4.2 No Purchase Entry Method
To enter without purchase:
- Create a video sharing your genuine experience with Biotrue® contact lenses and/or Biotrue® eye drops (a trial or sample experience is sufficient). The video must be a minimum of fifteen (15) seconds in length and must be original content created by the entrant.
- Complete and submit the official entry form at the Contest website, including: your full name, email address, province of residence, Instagram handle, the Biotrue product(s) you experienced, and an upload of your video. You may also optionally include a link to a public Instagram post.
Limit: One (1) entry per person, per Contest Period, regardless of entry method. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
5. Entry Content Requirements
All submitted content must:
- Be original content created by the entrant;
- Accurately and honestly reflect the entrant’s genuine experience with Biotrue® contact lenses and/or Biotrue® eye drops;
- Not contain content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful;
- Not infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party;
- Not contain personal information of any third party without their consent;
- Not disparage the Sponsor, its products, or any other person or entity;
- Comply with Instagram’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these requirements, in its sole discretion.
6. Prize
There is one (1) prize available: a prepaid Visa or Mastercard gift card in the amount of $1,000 Canadian dollars (CAD), intended to be applied toward tuition or educational expenses. The gift card will be delivered electronically via the Sponsor’s third-party gift card fulfilment provider, Giftbit. The prize has no cash surrender value and may not be transferred, sold, or substituted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.
Applicable fitting fees, prescription costs, and any other costs associated with obtaining or using Biotrue® products are the sole responsibility of the entrant and are not included in the prize.
7. Winner Selection
One (1) winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place in January 2027 (exact date at the Sponsor’s discretion) at the offices of Bausch + Lomb Canada Inc., 520 Applewood Crescent, Vaughan, ON L4K 4B4. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
The selected entrant will be notified by email at the address provided at the time of entry within five (5) business days of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within five (5) business days, or is found to be ineligible, or fails to comply with these Terms, an alternate winner will be selected by random draw from the remaining eligible entries.
8. Winner Verification & Claim
To claim the prize, the selected winner must:
- Respond to the notification email within five (5) business days of receiving it;
- Correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind;
- Sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form (the “Declaration”) within ten (10) business days of receiving it;
- Provide proof of Canadian residency upon request.
Failure to comply with any of the above within the specified time periods will result in forfeiture of the prize and the selection of an alternate winner.
9. Skill-Testing Question
As required by Canadian law, the award of the prize is conditional on the selected winner correctly answering, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the Sponsor at the time of prize notification.
10. Intellectual Property & Licence
By submitting an entry, each entrant grants the Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display the submitted content (including name and likeness of the entrant) in any media for promotional and marketing purposes, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Entrants retain ownership of their original content. The Sponsor will not use a non-winning entrant’s content in external-facing promotional materials without separate written consent.
11. Privacy & Personal Information
Personal information collected through this Contest will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Contest, notifying and verifying the winner, and, with the entrant’s consent, for promotional communications. The Sponsor will handle all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and provincial equivalents.

12. Limitation of Liability
The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (b) any technical failures, including failures of the Contest website, internet connectivity, or Instagram; (c) any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of the prize; (d) any typographical or other errors in these Terms or in Contest-related materials.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
13. General Conditions
- The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time without prior notice if, in its sole judgment, the Contest cannot be conducted as planned due to technical failure, fraud, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.
- The Sponsor’s decisions regarding all aspects of the Contest are final and binding.
- This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and territorial laws and regulations.
- Entries that are generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are void.
- Entries made on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
- The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
14. Governing Law
This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of Quebec.
